We have a 6000 ft2 log home with an adjacent guest cabin, built in 2003. It was beautifully constructed but when we purchased it in 2017 it was evident that the logs had not been maintained. We contracted with Shane to begin with the interior chinking and staining. We were so pleased with the result that we went on the following year to chink and stain the exterior, sanding where necessary.

Shane is a diligent and hard-working perfectionist. Such a project is no small under-taking but he sticks to the promised timeline and gets the job done. Our logs are happy now, look beautiful and are much better able to resist the elements. If you own a log home, we highly recommend him!

My wife and I bought a used log house and quickly became intimidated by the amount of work it would take to restore the logs. Shayne and his team have done extensive restoration and repair work on our 45 year old log home over the past few years. Our logs are completely natural and didn’t have any varnish or stain to protect them, so time and weather had taken their toll. In fact Shayne said he hadn’t seen rot this bad on any other job!

Their work involved extensive rot removal, by drilling and chainsawing out the rot, then using epoxy, dowels and replacement logs chosen to match our existing ones. They did such a great job you really couldn’t tell where the restoration had been done.
They are thorough, hard working and easy to work with, communicating every step of the way to ensure we understood what the work entailed.

We now consider them family and have had them back many times for other projects. Next year we’ll be cutting out some long overdue windows!
